Supplication Prayer for the Swift Attainment of the Greatness of Mind

July, 5th 2020 – 7am-8am  Pacific Time  on Zoom

By His Holiness the 34th Menri Trizin Rinpoche

His Holiness Lungtok Dawa Dhargye Rinpoche, the 34th Menri Trizin will give transmission and teaching on the Supplication Prayer for the Swift Attainment of the Greatness of Mind (“sol ‘deb thuk je myur zik”).

This aspirational prayer was composed by the 23rd Menri Trizin Kunkhen Nyima Tenzin. Diligent recitation and engagement in this practice is said to have three main benefits:

  1. It ripens the conditions necessary for one to be introduced to and abide in the Nature of Mind.
  2. It is important for strengthening the longevity of the Bön teachings in this world.
  3. It provides benefit for all sentient beings wandering in cyclic existence.

Gyalshen Institute has been coordinating a group of donors who provide an annual monetary contribution to the teachers at the Menri Dialectic School. We requested that His Holiness give a short teaching to these sponsors. However, His Holiness felt such a teaching would be too narrow in scope. For this reason, he has requested that this teaching be available to anyone who wishes to participate. We are very grateful for this opportunity, and hope that as many people as possible will be able to join the Zoom cast in order to receive the greatest benefit.

This teaching is open to students that have any level of familiarity with the Bön teachings. All are warmly invited to attend via Zoom. (Handouts will available in English, Spanish, Hebrew, Polish and Chinese) Please register at least one day before the teaching . The Zoom link will arrive 30 minutes before teaching begins.

Also the Teaching will be recorded and sent out shortly afterwards.
