Gyalshen Institute is pleased to announce that visiting Geshe Lama Tashi Gyaltsen Rinpoche, using the text Ser Ö Norbu Wo Bar, or The Shining Precious Golden Light, will perform the four hour long Accomplishment of the Yang to create wealth vases. This teaching and ritual was given by the enlightened Lord Tönpa Shenrap Miwoche as an antidote for the suffering of sentient beings.
Material well being in life supports opportunities for compassion toward others as well as sustains conditions for developing a successful spiritual practice. Within the teachings of the Nine Way of Bön, there are rituals specifically performed in order to reinforce and increase well being and prosperity. These rituals are called Yang Drup, or accomplishment of the Yang. Yang means the force of prosperity and good fortune and includes wealth, harmonious and supportive relationships, merit, health, positive opportunities, and other desirable results
These rituals strengthen the force of personal good fortune and good luck by both requesting the assistance of a wealth deity and by calling back any of this energetic force that might have become separated from the individual. As a way of anchoring this force of good fortune and good luck, a wealth vase is created which becomes a sacred receptacle for the wealth deity. This wealth vase, or yang bum, is filled with many kinds of precious things, as well as mantras, and is sealed by the lama. This vase can be placed in the home or business. Regular incense or water offering as well as prayer and mantra recitation in front of the vase maintains a connection with the wealth deity.
If you want to acquire a new wealth vase, Gyalshen Institute will provide the necessary materials for you to take one home with you. If you already have a wealth vase, you may bring it to the event for re-empowerment.
