Six Thiglés (Spheres)

Dzogchen, also known as the “great perfection,” is considered the path of self-liberation and the highest form of teaching in the Yungdrung Bòn tradition. Within this tradition, there are four main Dzogchen texts (Zhungchen Dezhi): The Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyud, the Dragpa Korsum, the Gabpa Gukor and the Yetri Thasel. 

The Direct Introduction to the Six Spheres (thiglés) is an essential text from the scriptures of the Aural Tradition of Zhang Zhung (Zhang Zhung NyenGyu). This text gives a concise summary of the material covered in the more widely disseminated text, The Six Lamps. Specifically, this text gives a series of direct introductions (also known as pointing out instructions): 1) The sphere of the abiding base. 2) The sphere of the heart. 3) The sphere of the soft white channel. 4) The sphere of the far-castied lasso. 5) The sphere of the pure realms and 6) The sphere of the bardo.

We at Gyalshen Institute feel most fortunate that Chaphur Rinpoche has agreed to impart these precious instructions, which are rarely taught in the west. It is his wish that the blessing inherent in receiving this teaching is open to all who wish to attend. Everyone is welcome to join us for this teaching.
