Red Garuda Practice and Black Garuda Transmission
On the Full moon
January 6th 8am-9am (PT) on Zoom
5pm to 6pm Central European Time (CET)
Chaphur Rinpoche will lead a practice based on the teaching of the Red Garuda. The Red Garuda practice supports the student in rising above all obstacles and obscurations. Rinpoche will guide and empower students to use this Red Garuda meditation and mantra as potent spiritual medicine to overcome illnesses and to help restore a healing balance for all beings.
In the Bön tradition, the Garuda holds a special position of importance and reverence as an enlightened yidam, a wisdom being who emanates in forms of each of the five elements. The Red Garuda is associated with the fire elements and the wrathful wisdom that overcomes all obstacles and brings healing, protection, and positive transformation to all beings.
Our sangha members in Los Angeles requested the Red Garuda teaching and sangha members in Germany requested the transmission of the Black Garuda. Rinpoche is responding to both of these requests and will explain the significance of each.
As usual we will have the four generosity practices. In the morning, from 7am to 8am PT, we will join on zoom for the Tsa-Lung Sol Deb prayer, Sang, and Chutör. In the evening, 6pm -7pm PT we will offer Sur and Chöd. You are warmly invited to join with us for these important Bön Generosity Practices.
All levels of practitioners are warmly welcome.
Please register by January 5th evening at the latest so that we can send you practice materials. The Zoom link and handouts will be sent before the teaching.
