Kunzang Shenlha Ökar Empowerment

With H.E. Menri Ponlob Rinpoche

October 1–5, 2025  9am-12:30pm (PT)

In Person and on Zoom

“Do not conceal from those who are qualified. Let what is hidden be fully revealed. May it be understood and embraced.” This powerful spiritual instruction  is a direct quote from the Fivefold Dzogchen Practices of the Clear Ah.  It is in this spirit that we have respectfully invited His Eminence Menri Ponlob Rinpoche to transmit this profound Dzogchen teaching.   We are deeply grateful that H.E. has kindly accepted our request.  In addition, on the last day of the retreat, October 5th, His Eminence  will give the  Kunzang Shenlha Ökar empowerment.

About the Instructions on the Fivefold Dzogchen Practices of the Clear Ah: This sacred teaching was originally transmitted from Bönku Kuntu Zangpo to Dzogsku Shenlha Ökar, and from Shenlha Ödkar to the great realized master Trulku Drenpa Namkha. It continued through an unbroken lineage of accomplished masters. This rare and extraordinary instruction condenses the essence of the practices of countless Dzogchen and tantric masters.

The Fivefold Practice includes:

1) Practicing  through  external appearances (external)

2) Practicing  through the inner illusory body (internal)

3) Practicing by  relying on the essential nature of pure essence (secret)

4) Practicing  through unification with Kuntu Zangpo (innermost secret)

5) Practicing by taking all activities into the path of  Dzogpa Chenpo.

Each of these five sections is clearly presented in three parts: preliminary practices, the actual main practice, and subsequent activities.

This profound and important treatise was authored by the 13th-century scholar and realized master Drogön Lodrö Gyaltsen, a great upholder of the Yungdrung Bön tradition. The original handwritten manuscript was discovered in the Dolpo, Himalayan region   by H.E. Menri Ponlob Rinpoche.

We at Gyalshen warmly invite you to join His Eminence, our sangha, friends, and family for this very happy occasion.
