November 29-30, The Arrangement of the Four Wheels of Dzogchen

The Arrangement of the Four Wheels of Dzogchen

November 29-30, 2025,  9am-12pm (PT)

With Chaphur Rinpoche

In the Bon tradition there are many texts on Dzogchen, and among them the Zhangzhung Nyengyud is one of the most renowned. The  very precious Zhangzhung Nyengyud lineage has been transmitted  without interruption  from  Tonpa Kuntu Zangpo/Dharmakaya to the Abbots and Lopons or Ponlobs of Bon monasteries including Menri Monastery. As a result,  the transmission of the Zhangzhung Nyengyud teachings continues uninterrupted to this day.

Dzogchen Zhangzhung Nyen Gyud (Tibetan: ཞང་ཞུང་སྙན་རྒྱུད་) has four major sections: 1)  Outer, the Viewpoint,  2) Inner, the  Guide  of Oral Instruction, 3) Secret, the  Direct Seeing of Awareness, and 4) Most Secret, the  Seeing of Ultimate Nature. Chaphur Rinpoche will be teaching from the third or Secret section which focuses on  the Direct Seeing of Awareness. It is referred to as  the  Arrangement of the Four Wheels of Dzogchen.  It contains:

1)  The Wheel of the Abiding Base.

2)  The Wheel of the Interdependent Connection of Realization and Delusion.

3)  The Wheel of the Channels, the Vital Points of the Body.

4)  The Wheel of the Time of the Bardo.

We are delighted that Chaphur Rinpoche will give us  a teaching on the Arrangement of the Four Wheels of Dzogchen which will strongly support us in deepening our Dzogchen practice.  Additionally, Professor Kurt Keutzer has translated an English version, which will be presented during the teaching.
