 September 5–6, 2026
 Takla Mebar Teachings & Empowerment

This will be a wonderful opportunity to deepen your practice under the direct guidance of Chaphur Rinpoche—continuing the Keksel training and receiving the profound teachings and empowerment of Takla Mebar.

About the Keksel

Keksel is a general Tibetan term referring to practices that work with the subtle energy channels (tsa), winds (lung), and energy drops (tigle). Through working with these three aspects, practitioners can directly experience the enlightened body, speech, and mind.

At the same time, Keksel offers numerous health benefits, as it harmonizes the flow of energy in the body and balances its elements.

According to Tibetan medical theory, the body and consciousness are composed of five elements: earth, water, fire, wind, and space. These elements manifest within us through the interconnection of flesh, blood, heat, breath, and consciousness. The five elements are associated with five organs — the liver, kidneys, spleen, lungs, and heart — which in turn are connected to five negative emotions: attachment, jealousy, ignorance, pride, and anger.

The practice of Keksel enables the transformation of these emotions into the five wisdoms:

  • the wisdom of emptiness,

  • mirror-like wisdom,

  • the wisdom of equality,

  • discriminating wisdom,

  • all-accomplishing wisdom.

The transformation of the “five poisons” into the “five wisdoms” lies at the very heart of the spiritual path.

Keksel offers effective methods for this transformation and, through harmonizing the elements within the body, supports the practitioner’s physical and emotional well-being.

Lineage and Scope of the Teachings

Both tsa lung and trülkhor practices, originating from the paths of Tantra and Dzogchen, belong to the category of Keksel.

During this three-day course, Chaphur Rinpoche will introduce participants to movements, visualizations, and mantra recitation drawn from both of these paths, integrating them into a coherent and practical system.

As Rinpoche explains: “In ancient times, Bon practitioners who emphasized Keksel practice lived long and healthy lives and attained lasting peace through realizing the nature of the mind.

In modern times, especially in the West, life is fast-paced and overly intellectual, creating a disconnection between body and mind. This leads to emotional and physical imbalances as well as difficulties in relationships.
I believe that the Keksel teachings are well suited to address these challenges. My wish is to distill the essence of these teachings and bring them together into a system that is best adapted to the modern mind.”

Purpose of the Teacher Training

The Keksel Teacher Training is intended for those who wish to deepen their understanding and practice of working with the energies of body and mind, as well as to prepare to transmit this knowledge to others.

The course includes theoretical teachings, movement practice, breathwork, and mantra recitation.
Participants will gain a solid foundation for further independent practice of Keksel.

This course is the second of three parts of the complete Keksel Teacher Training.
Participation in all three parts is required in order to complete the full training and receive authorization to teach the Keksel practice in accordance with the instructions of Chaphur Rinpoche.

Didn’t attend the first part of the Keksel Teacher Training Course? You can still join the course!

If you would like to receive a certificate upon completing the full training, it is possible to make up the first part of the course.

Takla Mebar teachings and empowerment

The Takla Mebar empowerment is a profound tantric ritual in the Tibetan Yungdrung Bön tradition. Takla Mebar (the Flaming Tiger Deity), a wrathful manifestation of Buddha Tönpa Shenrap Miwo. This practice empowers practitioners to incinerate negative energy, overcome fears, and cultivate the power to heal. Or transforming them into the clarity of the five wisdoms (Five Wisdoms: wisdom of emptiness, mirror-like wisdom, wisdom of equality, discriminating wisdom, all-accomplishing wisdom).

Although a lengthy and elaborate practice, Rinpoche will offer this empowerment and healing in a simplified form, so that it is accessible and easy for everyone to practice and benefit. After that you can do Takla Mebar practice even in your daily life.
