H.E. Menri Ponlop Rinpoche will give a teaching on the Medicine Buddha including the Initiation on June 14-16, 2024 in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.    Ponlop Rinpoche will be accompanied by Chaphur Rinpoche of  Gyalshen Institute.

Practitioners of the Medicine Buddha can address illness or poor health through meditation and visualization to free themselves from obstacles in life and to increase and protect their well-being. By incorporating the powerful practice of the Medicine Buddha into your personal life, you can open yourself to the experience of mental and physical healing qualities. The compassionate teaching of the Medicine Buddha places physical wellness in the context of spiritual enlightenment.  During this teaching, Ponlop Rinpoche will give the initiation for the practice and recitation of the mantra for the Medicine Buddha of the ancient Bön spiritual tradition.

H.E. Menri Ponlop Rinpoche will bring the “new” Mendrup (Tibetan Bon Medicine) for all of us from the current once-in-a-lifetime Drupchen Ceremony by His Holiness 34th Menri Triten. This is very precious and auspicious for this in-person Medicine Buddha Teaching and Initiation.

Menri Lopon Biography:

H.E. Menri Ponlob Trinley Nyima Rinpoche was born in 1962 in the Dolpo region of northwest Nepal. Ponlob Rinpoche is a member of the famous lineage of Yangton lamas. Rinpoche received his Geshe degree in 1989 and has been teaching at the Menri Monastery in Dolanji, India since that time. He became Ponlob, or Chief Instructor, of the monastery in 1992. Ponlob Rinpoche regularly visits the United States and Europe where he enjoys teaching the elements of Sutra, Tantra, and Dzogchen to Western practitioners. Visit Rinpoche’s website at KWLing.org
