The connection of mind, body and spirit represents a perfect and powerful healing system, equipped with infinite possibilities to respond to even the most difficult conditions.  Unfortunately most people are not aware of how to access and utilize this inherent potential.

The discovery of neurotransmitters, small proteins released in response to thoughts, beliefs and feelings, directly impact and controls the functions of our cells.  Medical studies have demonstrated that negative emotions play a significant role in the development of heart diseases, chronic pain, autoimmune diseases and cancer.  Anxiety, anger, shame and sadness drain our energy and suppress our immune system. Stress-related illnesses are the number one cause of death.

Our body is able to identify and efficiently eliminate toxins, germs and even cancer cells on a daily basis. It can produce any medication (painkillers, antibiotics, antidepressants etc.) and administers them in a dosage, which is always correct and given on time with no or minimal side-effects.

Our mind has the ability to effectively process, analyze and utilize the vast amount of information we are surrounded with and can constantly adapt to and learn from new demands and challenges. Our subconscious mind regulates and influences most physiological functions.

Our spirit or higher consciousness represents the core of our being, our true essence and goes beyond the thoughts and emotions. It provides us with enormous resources of wisdom, strength, compassion and peace. Connecting to our spirit, to our essence is natural and doesn’t require a religious or spiritual belief.

Because of the mind, body  & feelings interconnection, the Tibetan healing sciences place special emphasis on healing the mind which will also take care of our feelings and our body.  Once we master a healing practice, we have the power to repair a variety of illnesses and pain.

Geshe YongDong will present ancient Tibetan Bön Healing Practices that have been passed down for over six thousand years.  Some of the techniques will include the following:

Body healing   methods will include Tsa Lung movement, a breathing technique and chanting mantras

Mind & emotions – healing meditations, and a method to help heal anger and practice forgiveness

Spirit healing – students will learn a five element practice and a powerful Sidpe Gyalmo water healing ritual.
